Implementing Lean for a Competitive Advantage

Investing in Finance’s Future Talent

It seems that everyone is talking about the need for transformation in organizations today—whether you’re in manufacturing, finance, or some other industry. The reality is the world is changing in ways we haven’t experienced before, and organizations are faced with increasingly more complex problems. This requires a new kind of culture, a different approach to leadership, and a shift in how we think about developing our people and our teams to navigate these changing dynamics.

Come hear from Erin Swartout, Director of Talent and Organizational Development at Masco Corporation, about Masco’s approach to talent and their journey to build a new kind of high-performance culture. You’ll also experience a couple simple, proven tools you can use back at work to help you and your teams grow and develop faster.

A Global Economic Outlook

Worldwide macroeconomic growth is improving slightly in much of the world, and inflation is contained. Foreign currency reserves remain ample in most emerging market (EM) countries, and debt loads there are being managed relatively well. Indeed, the EM asset class has been one of the best performers this year. But there may be clouds on the horizon, as geopolitical headwinds have emerged in some of the most investible nations. Jonathan Lemco, Ph.D., Principal and Senior Investment Strategist at Vanguard will discuss the most likely scenarios for both developed and developing economies going forward, with particular attention devoted to the potential roadblocks along the way.
